Nicolas Devos is an amateur wildlife photographer living in Durham, North Carolina. He grew up in Charleroi, Belgium developing his technique and style before relocating to the United States in 2006 where he studies evolution and phylogeography of land plants.

He is currently a visiting scholar at Duke University with a joint appointment at University of Liege in Belgium. Nicolas' work in art and science has taken him to South Africa, Borneo, Peru, Ecuador, Tanzania, Namibia, Madagascar, Egypt, and Costa Rica where he spent years photographing flora and fauna while working as a biologist.
